How to scan, stitch and upload your scrapbook layoutDo you have your scrapbook constructed but now want to scan, stitch, and upload your layout for your friends to view online? If so, read through this step by step tutorial. You will need a computer program to accomplish this goal, and the one we suggest is ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxe program. This program makes it simple to scan and stitch oversized images together. Here are the steps: Download ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxe 1. Scan both halves of your scrapbook page with a small amount of overlap on the middle portion. 2. Open them both in ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxe. 3. Select the Stitch Option from the Menu. The Stitch dialog box will then open. Make sure the 2 sides of your layout are showing in the correct sequence so they line up correctly. If they are not you can change the Left/Right. 4. Select 2 points which are in both scanned images. Something like the corner of a mat is a good spot. 5. Hit Zoom + until you are right down to the pixels. Make sure you are on the same pixel by using the "Adjust" feature. 6. Hit OK, and your computer will work for a while, and eventually produce a 'stitched' layout. 7. Resize the layout. Select Transform -> Resample. Change the height to 400 pixels - the width should default to around 400 as well. Hit OK, and a new smaller version of your layout will appear on the screen. 8. Save this as page 1 in JPG format. Now the stiching is done and you have a single image of your scrapbook layout. The next step is to go to our free scrapbooking layouts directory and click Submit a scrapbook layout. |
